Local Business Networks
We have many established business associations and networks which are listed below.
Echuca Moama Business 2 Business advocates for local businesses to connect and be informed, to achieve sustained success and see a strong local economy for the benefit of all. EMBTA sees its top priority as building awareness of the importance of shopping locally, and collaborates with others to promote the 'Buy Local' message to the community.
Our relationship with the Murray Hume Business Enterprise Centre (BEC) is integral to providing local businesses with access to quality advisory services. The BEC has been providing support to small business for over 30 years and acts as a one-stop shop. A Small Business Advisor is available to assist businesses in the Murray River Council area.
Murray Business Network aims to engage the local business community by providing opportunities to access high profile speakers and meet like-minded individuals, while promoting their organisation. Businesses and individuals are able to cultivate opportunities by developing networking skills that lead to the formation of new relationships, clients, referrals and introductions. The up-skilling of an organisation increases productivity, capacity and profit, ensuring business growth and greater employment opportunities for the region. Murray Business Network hosts four major networking functions each membership year.
C4EM is a member-based, self-funding, independent and apolitical organisation that brings together the broad cross-section of the area's private, public and not-for-profit organisations (across all sectors) to advocate for the issues and initiatives that will make Echuca Moama a better place to live, work and play. The C4EM Vision is to help deliver a more prosperous and vibrant Echuca Moama – for our people, communities and businesses.
The C4EM Mission is to advocate for and support initiatives that will make an enduring and positive contribution to Echuca Moama's economic prosperity, social wellbeing, cultural cohesion and environmental landscape.
Its members are strong advocates for the region. It is through their commitment and contribution to supporting C4EM that enables us to drive positive change now and for the future.
Echuca Moama Regional Tourism (EMT) is an industry-based organisation committed to growing the tourism industry within this region. EMT annually receives funding from Campaspe Shire and Murray River Councils, as well as memberships from many businesses in the region.
