Access to information

Government Information (Public Access) - GIPA

The GIPA Act is designed to meet community expectations of more open and transparent government and encourages government agencies, like Council, to proactively release government information. Our Agency Information Guide is produced in accordance with Section 20 of the Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009 and reviewed annually.

Our Agency Information Guide

Our Agency Information Guide describes the functions of Murray River Council, how these affect you and how you can play your part in our future policy development. The guide identifies the information we hold which is publicly available, routinely published and free of charge and specifies how this can be accessed.

The guide is updated on a regular basis (at a minimum, every 12 months) and the Information and Privacy Commission NSW (IPC) notified of any changes for approval before the updated guide is released.
