Weeds Management

Did you know we now have a Biosecurity Team at Council?

These weed warriors bring accumulated experience and expert knowledge regarding all things weeds!

Landholders are encouraged to contact a member of the team via 1300 087 004 for any weed related issues. They can help you identify weeds and provide advice on appropriate management.

War on Weeds

Our weeds officers are now out on the roads targeting the Winter Weeds including Boxthorns, Horehound and Bridal Creeper…to name a few!

In the on-going battle against the weeds, prevention needs to focus on stopping weeds entering and becoming established on properties…..and now is the optimum time for control!

Need to report illegal vegetation clearing?

The first point of contact is the State Government Enviro line, and not Council.

You can find out more details at their website here, or call 131 555

Don’t buy, sell or move plants, flowers or foliage that put NSW at risk

Plants that can harm the environment, economy and communities of NSW are called ‘priority weeds’.  The sale and movement of priority weeds is restricted under the NSW Biosecurity Act 2015.  Restrictions apply to all parts of the plant, and to cultivars and hybrids.
