Youth Engagement Program

Our Youth Engagement Program (YEP) ensures young people between the ages of 12 and 25, feel they are supported and valued members of the community.

The program offers support and opportunities to young people to pursue their individual social, emotional, cultural and life aspirations.

What’s involved....

Support and referral service

The program offers early intervention services; within the scope of the Targeted Early Intervention program within the NSW Family and Community Services Child, Youth and Family Service program.

Once referred to YEP we can provide young people with support either individually or in a small group setting.  We can offer individual assessment and support to consider high level referrals of benefit; within the parameters of council’s service capacity and skill-set. We will also conduct individual Life Plan sessions to recognise personal life goals, needs and aspirations.

Events

Youth Week

Each year we endeavour to celebrate Youth Week through an event or activity that connects the youth across our area.

Youth Week is an opportunity for young people to express their ideas and views, act on issues that affect their lives, and create and enjoy activities and events.

We occasionally offer youth week support grants to organisations that would like to run their own Youth Week activities. You can find out more here.

Y-HUB: Youth drop in venues

We operate a youth drop-in centre with games, music, Wifi, PS4's, art supplies....you name it!

We currently only run sessions in Moulamein.

We suggest you follow our Youth Engagement Program page on Facebook to keep up to date with the schedule.
