About the opportunity
We are seeking a dedicated Administration Officer to provide high-level administrative support to our Development Services Team. The successful candidate will deliver efficient and flexible customer service, ensuring adherence to Council policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide primary administrative support to the Development Services Department.
- Offer information to the public and developers regarding legislative processes.
- Process various certificates and determinations in accordance with procedures and legislation.
- Liaise with technical staff on applications, inspections, and objections.
- Coordinate inspection scheduling and the ‘Duty Planner’ roster.
- Deliver excellent telephone and customer service.
- Prepare and submit reports as directed.
- Maintain and update the Planning and Environment Department's web content.
What we're looking for
- Proven administrative experience, ideally in a local government or similar environment
- Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to multitask
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office suite and other relevant software
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service
The successful candidate will also require:
- Certificate II in administration
- Minimum 2 years' experience in an administrative setting
- Current Driver’s Licence.
- National Police Check.
