•   Full time Permanent position | 35-hour weeks | 9-day fortnight

About the opportunity: We are seeking a dedicated Grants Officer to manage the full grant lifecycle—from sourcing and preparing applications to managing agreements, acquittals and compliance reporting. You’ll work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to boost grant success and support community development.

Key Responsibilities:
• Identify and source grant funding aligned with Council goals.
• Prepare and coordinate timely, high-quality grant applications.
• Manage funding agreements, compliance and reporting.
• Maintain accurate records of grant submissions and outcomes.
• Oversee Council’s Financial Assistance Program.
• Advise staff and stakeholders on grant opportunities and processes.
• Develop strategies to increase community awareness of funding programs.
• Support Economic Development and Tourism initiatives as needed.

What we're looking for:

  • Degree in Journalism, English, Marketing, Arts, Business or related field.
  • Excellent written/verbal communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, databases, social media, and online research.
  • Strong research and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage deadlines and priorities under pressure.
  • Team-oriented with experience in a collaborative environment.

•Desirable: Local Government experience and/or 5+ years in grant writing or related roles.

The successful candidate will also require:

Current Driver’s Licence.

National Police Check.
