The Murray River Council community is invited to celebrate International Women’s Day at a ‘Picnic in the Park’ in Barham on Wednesday March 6.

Hosted in Riverside Park with catering by Koondrook’s Long Paddock Food Store, the event will feature remarkable stories from guest speakers Steph Prem (Olympian and High Performance Coach) and Shez Spiteri (Co-Founder of SheKan and now part of the team at SALT Sport).

Council’s Director Community and Economic Development, Sarah Ryan said the event is a great opportunity to connect with other women in the local community.

“It will be a fun and relaxed event where attendees can enjoy great company, amazing food and be inspired by the stories of women who have been driving success in leadership, business, the community and life.”

“It’s also a great opportunity for community members to come together, meet new people and mark the achievements of the remarkable women in our lives,” she said.
