Murray River Council will be lighting up the Murray next year when the award winning Moama Lights event makes a dazzling return.

Set to once again illuminate Horseshoe Lagoon, the event will be back from 31 July – 21 August 2022.

Moama Lights is an immersive sound and light trail sharing stories from across the region through state of the art installations, projections and cutting edge moving light technology.

The 2022 event is set to be bigger and better than ever with an enticing new show, brand new stories and a new backdrop along the upgraded footbridges at Horseshoe Lagoon.

Murray River Council mayor, Chris Bilkey is encouraging people to register for pre-sale tickets.

“The feedback and figures really did demonstrate what an enormous success the event was this year, so I’d encourage people to register for info and updates so they don’t miss out on tickets.”

“The 2022 Moama Lights will once again showcase our beautiful bush setting through sound and light and deliver exciting new experiences for locals and visitors.”

Contractor Mandylights helped deliver the 2021 event and have been appointed as the official creative and production contractor for the next 5 years.

“We are pleased to have Mandylights on board so that we can continue to deliver unique storytelling through an ever-changing display of captivating colours, spectacular sound and amazing local art,” Cr Bilkey said.

“We certainly look forward to lighting up Echuca Moama again in 2022!”
