Murray River Council has approved a one-year extension to its current funding agreement with Echuca Moama & District Tourism Development Association Inc (EMT).

The one-year extension will be back-dated to July 1 and roll-over the current agreement until 30 June 2023.

Whilst EMT is currently undertaking an internal review of its structure and operations, council resolved to extend its current agreement by twelve months to ensure the continuation of service in the meantime.

“Echuca Moama Tourism provide a useful service to Murray River Council with regards to marketing and visitor services,” Mayor Chris Bilkey said.

“This extension not only provides us with continuity of service over the next twelve months but gives us the flexibility to review and understand the outcomes from EMT’s internal review so that we can derive the greatest benefit from any future relationship with them moving forward,” he said.
