Murray River Council is encouraging local businesses to register their interest to work on the Koondrook-Perricoota Flow Enabling Works Project.
The Project involves the installation of regulators, channels and levees to divert and control flows from the Murray River through the forest.
Construction is set to commence in late 2022 through to mid-2024.
Work will involve the construction of more than 6 km of levees, removing and replacing several bridges, removing and replacing a number of block banks and structures and replacing regulators and culverts.
Local businesses are encouraged to register with the Department of Planning Industry and Environment for any opportunities to be involved. This could include:
• Engineers
• Earthworks
• Environmental heritage advisors
• Landscaping and fencing
• Materials and equipment suppliers
• Trades
• Construction machinery and operation
• Catering and accommodation
Work will be undertaken at several locations throughout the forest area.
