Murray River Council has purchased the property of 8 Blair Street, Moama, for the purpose of developing the site into an off-street car park. This new car park will support the redevelopment of Meninya Street (and support the surrounding activity area) and address some of the parking concerns raised by the public during the consultation phase.
Prior to the development of the car park taking place, the residential dwelling located on the property requires removal from the site by an experienced property removalist.
The dwelling, which consists of three bedrooms including some minor modernisations, will be available for inspection and removal from site from 24th October, 2024.
The dwelling will be listed for the sale price of $1 and will be offered to the first buyer who meets the requirements outlined below. The sale only relates to the dwelling itself and does not include any ancillary items such as fencing, shedding, unfixed structures or the land on which the building currently sits.
The successful party will be required to pay all costs and fees associated with the removal of the dwelling from the site including removal fees, traffic management, permits, approvals and other costs. Council will ensure that services are disconnected including Power, Water, Sewer and Gas, prior to the agreed removal date.
Please note:
- Inspections must be organised with the nominated Council representative.
- The successful purchaser accepts the dwelling in its current condition and Council makes no warranty as to fit for purpose, structural integrity, or freedom from defects or infestations.
- This process will be run on a "first in, first served" basis.
- The property must be removed by an agreed removal date in its entirety from the site prior to 20 December, 2024.
