EOI: Borrow pit sites for clay material from landowners near Barham

No longer on display. Expired on 14 January 2022, 12:00 PM

Murray River Council is currently undertaking designs for the proposed upgrades of two levee embankments in Barham.

As part of the project, Council is inviting Expressions of Interest from local landowners for potential borrow pit sites which contain material with a high clay content. Borrow pits with compliant clayey material will be used to source construction material during the levee upgrades.  An estimated 6,000 to 10,000 cubic metres of material will be required.

Testing

Geotechnical investigation teams appointed by Council’s design consultants, Dryside Engineering, will require access to the shortlisted properties to conduct tests and collect samples from potential borrow sites.

Tests for the materials are scheduled to take place in late January 2022.
