Residents and motorists are advised of works in Neimur Street Barham (between Gonn and Whymoul Streets) from 29 May 2025 to mid-July 2025.
The works will improve kerb and guttering in the immediate area by replacing aging infrastructure.
What to expect:
- Traffic management measures will be in place and some disruptions to driveway access may occur during the works period. All affected households will have been notified via letter drop.
- General motorists will be diverted from turning directly into Neimur Street at both the Gonn and Whymoul Street intersections.
- High School motorists, pedestrians and cyclists should also detour around the works area, as above. Access to the school (Gonn Street) is still available via Noorong St, Forest St and Punt Rd.
- In regard to kerbside bin collection, the trucks will still complete their usual route as the kerb will be replaced one side at a time. On bin days the side being refurbished will need to put their bins out just beyond the works area on the sealed section of the road (on the same side as your home).
