Council has placed the Draft Moulamein Flood Study Review on public exhibition for community feedback.
Using the latest data from the 2022 flood event, the review identifies riverine and overland flood risks in and around Moulamein.
The draft study includes:
- Revised flood mapping using updated modelling and recent flood data
- Analysis of levee performance under different flood scenarios
- Hazard categorisation to understand flood impacts
- Recommendations to assist with emergency response planning and land use controls.
Residents are encouraged to view the draft maps and findings and share their feedback to ensure the study reflects local knowledge.
A community drop-in session will also be held in August- date to be publicised soon.
