Murray River, Berrigan, Edward River and Federation Councils are developing a Southern Riverina Drought Resilience Plan that can be implemented across all four Councils. It will look at drought preparation, management and recovery.
Communities across the footprint will be engaged to ensure the lessons of the millennial drought, and other recent drought experiences can be considered and learnings from those experiences included in the Plan.
So, this us where our community comes in…..
Your expertise can help identify evidence-based priorities to formulate realistic strategies and actions. With your input we can develop a practical approach to drought mitigation and management, ensuring that the plan effectively addresses the region's specific challenges and builds resilience in a comprehensive and sustainable manner.
GHD Pty Ltd have been engaged to meet with community members and stakeholders to gain information for the Plan’s development.
Dates within our council are as follows:
- Wakool Services Club Wed 11 Oct 1-6pm
- Barham Riverside Reception centre Thurs 12 Oct 10am – 4pm
- Moulamein Bowling Club Fri 13 Oct 1- 6pm
These are drop-in sessions so you can attend and chat to them team when it suits.
