Tooleybuc Bridge works: August 2024

Transport for NSW is planning the second stage of essential maintenance work to strengthen Tooleybuc Bridge. This work will ensure the structure remains safe and continues to be an important link for communities and freight across the Murray River.

A summary of the program dates and times, and detours in place during night work, appears below:

From Monday 12 August they will be:

  • carrying out five weeks of day work
  • working with minor traffic impacts between 7am to 4pm, Monday to Friday, weather permitting.

From Sunday 15 September they will be:

  • carrying out eight weeks of night work
  • working with bridge closures from 8pm to 4am, Sunday night to Friday morning, weather permitting
  • opening the bridge at weekends from 4am Friday morning to 8pm Sunday night, and from 4am to 8pm during the week.

From Monday 11 November they will be:

  • carrying out one week of day work
  • working with minor traffic impacts from 7am to 4pm, Monday to Friday, weather permitting.

During night work, light and heavy vehicles will be detoured via Nyah Bridge, accessed via Koraleigh Road and Speewa Road, temporarily adding 30 minutes to journeys. Vehicles over 4.1 metres in height will detour to Swan Hill Bridge, accessed via Stony Crossing Road and Swan Hill Road, temporarily adding one hour to journeys.
