Council recently completed an upgrade of the Mathoura Recreation Reserve Playground, delivering a modern and inclusive play space for the community.

The existing playground was replaced with new equipment designed to cater for a wide range of ages and abilities, creating a more welcoming and accessible space for families, children and visitors.

The project  included:

• Demolition and disposal of the existing play equipment
• Site preparation works, including ground levelling and upgrading of the sub-base if required
• Installation of a new, locally themed play unit featuring slides, climbing structures and swings
• Installation of soft fall surfacing to improve safety

• The new playground features:
• Wave slide
• Web tunnel
• Rock panel
• Basket swing, strap swing and toddler seat swings
• Fireman’s pole
• Shop counter
• Spiral abacus
• Kaleidoscope panel

There’s something for all ages to climb, swing, slide and explore.
