Moama Cemetery upgrade works

Council is completing upgrade works at the Moama Cemetery.

The works will include:

  • the construction of a new lawn area
  • upgraded access roads
  • improvements to drainage
  • landscaping.

The works are aimed at improving accessibility, functionality and the overall presentation of the cemetery.

During the construction period, changed traffic conditions will be in place within the cemetery. Visitors are asked to follow all signage and traffic controls to ensure the safety of workers and the community.

Our cemeteries are places of reflection and remembrance, and it’s important they are safe, accessible and well maintained. We appreciate the community's  understanding of any temporary interruptions whilst the work is undertaken. 

Construction is expected to be completed within approximately six weeks, weather permitting.
