Council recently competed the 'School Murals Project', which has seen the installation of vibrant new artwork in local schools.
Funded via Council’s arts and culture budget, murals have been installed in Moulamein Primary, Tooleybuc P-12, Barham Primary, Barham High, Wakool Primary, Mathoura Primary, Moama Primary and Bunnaloo Primary schools.
Each school has collaborated with local artist Zowie Crump to determine the design and location of their mural, ensuring it reflects the unique identity and values of their school community.
Students have played a central role in the creative process, either designing the artwork themselves for Zowie to collate and recreate, or working together on a theme for her to bring to life.
The murals now serve as a visual representation of school values and ideas, providing a lasting legacy for students, staff, and the broader community.
