Tooleybuc Cemetery

The former Wakool Shire Council took over management of the Tooleybuc Cemetery in 1967 with the first interments taking place in the late 1800’s

The Tooleybuc Cemetery consists of three religious sections including Anglican (also known as Church of England), Uniting (Presbyterian and Methodist) and Roman Catholic, as well as a General Section which allows for both burials and cremated remains. There is also an unmarked grave monument which has been erected to recognise those graves that remain unmarked.

Unfortunately due to a mouse plague in the 1930s, the Tooleybuc Cemetery records were destroyed and the Deniliquin Family History Group with the assistance of the former Wakool Shire Council, has since indexed the Tooleybuc Cemetery.

Cemetery activities undertaken by Council

  • Burial and cremated remains interments
  • Ordering and placement of plaques
  • Assistance with genealogical records inquiries
  • Maintain interment records.

Vehicle access information

Vehicle access for burials, monumental masons, visitors and maintenance staff into the cemetery is from Yanga Way. This allows direct access to the burial sections for funeral directors, monumental masons and maintenance staff.
