About the opportunity:
We’re looking for a proactive Paraplanner to support our Development Services Department with high-quality administrative expertise. You’ll play a key role in facilitating the assessment of planning applications, maintaining the NSW Planning Portal, and ensuring our community receives exceptional service. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working across teams to deliver meaningful outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to technical staff across planning functions.
- Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders to facilitate application assessments.
- Deliver accurate advice to the public, applicants and developers on planning processes.
- Administer the NSW Planning Portal and streamline planning workflows.
- Process Development Applications, Construction Compliance Certificates and related documentation.
- Ensure timely completion of weekly, monthly and annual reports.
- Seek continuous improvement in administrative systems and procedures.
What we're looking for:
- Demonstrated experience in administrative support, ideally in planning or local government.
- Knowledge of planning fundamentals and relevant legislation (desirable).
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with planning software is a plus.
- Current Driver’s Licence.
- Satisfactory National Police Check.
