An updated suite of policies has been adopted at Murray River Council’s November meeting.
The policies include:
Under the provisions of the Local Government Act 1993 (NSW) Council must review and update the Code of Conduct and Code of Meeting Practice Policies within 12 months of an election.
Murray River Council mayor, Cr Chris Bilkey said the policies assists to uphold the integrity of all those involved with council.
“All these policies are important and crucial to how we operate and complete our day-to-day tasks”
“As much as anything else, they are a guide for councillors, staff and those on committees of council when dealing with legislative, financial, technological and administrative functions,” he said.
