Notice is hereby given under Section 3.34(2)(c) and clause 4 Schedule 1 of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 for a Planning Proposal (PP-2024-1477)) to amend the Murray Local Environmental Plan 2011 and the Wakool Local Environmental Plan 2013. The Proposal seeks reclassification of 21 sites in Moama and 1 site in Barham from community land to operational land - drainage reserves.

The Minister for Planning has issued Murray River Council (Relevant Planning Authority) with plan making delegation in respect to this Planning Proposal under Section 3.36 of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979.

Two Public Hearings will be held relating to this Planning Proposal

  • 2pm Thursday 14th November 2024 regarding the proposed reclassification of the 1 Barham site. The Hearing will be held in the Barham Riverside Reception Room, - 15 Murray Street Barham.
  • 11am Friday 15th November 2024 regarding the proposed reclassification of the 21 Moama sites. The Hearing will be held in the Moama Recreation Reserve - Pavilion, 52 Perricoota Road, Moama.

Please note, Council, at this stage do not require registrations to attend the Hearing, this is subject to change.

Please be advised that submissions made at this Hearing are not confidential and that either the issues raised in the submission, or the entire submission may be accessed by any member of the public including the applicant. A person who makes a submission may also need to disclose reportable political donations and gifts made to a Councillor or employee of Council, as required by the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979.
