In an effort to streamline our procurement process, drive greater transparency and efficiency and ensure better compliance with regulations, we are transitioning to a new platform, VendorPanel, for managing Request for Quotes and Tenders.
All future procurement of both materials and services will be through this platform.
This means will be using this platform to distribute all of Murray River Council's Requests for Quotes (RFQs) and Public Tenders to our suppliers. Additionally, we will streamline and manage the supplier selection process through this system too.
What does this mean for your business?
Primarily, two things:
- You will need to register your business on VendorPanel. There is no upfront or ongoing cost to register.
- Being registered offers the opportunity to generate more business with other organisations going to market via VendorPanel.
Once registered, you will be able to respond to RFQs and Tenders directly through the platform. You can also be altered to and respond to other buyers on the platform.
Similar to the current direct email request, the platform will alert you via your nominated email address any time a new RFQ or Tender is uploaded by a buyer.
You can also identify your product/service categories, which allows MRC staff (and other businesses using VendorPanel) to easily see who is available for a particular product/service.
How do businesses register on VenorPanel?
3 Easy Steps:
- Go to https://www.vendorpanel.com.au/marketplace
- Enter your details and identify your primary contact and an email address (e.g. admin@company.com.au).
- Search and select the best categories or prequalified supplier lists for your business
On registration you will receive an email (to the designated email address) with a link. Click on the link to activate your Vendor Panel account. You can also invite additional users as ‘colleagues’.
Before you register, you will need to identify a primary account holder to manage your business profile. We recommend that you use a generic email that is continually monitored. Once set up, you can add individual users to help manage and respond to opportunities.
