Waste education

We're part of the Halve Waste Program!

Halve Waste is a collaborative regional waste education program helping communities across our area reduce the amount of waste sent to landfill.

Working with participating councils, including Murray River Council, the program provides practical education, resources and campaigns that encourage residents, schools and businesses to recycle right, reduce food and household waste, avoid contamination in bins, and make more sustainable everyday choices.

By working together, Halve Waste supports cleaner communities, better environmental outcomes and a more sustainable future for our region.
