Our Projects

Disability Inclusion Action Plan

Council is developing a new Disability Inclusion Action Plan (DIAP) to help create a more inclusive and accessible community where everyone can participate in community life.

Moulamein Road / Barham Road Intersection Upgrade (Deni turnoff)

Council is completing upgrade works at the intersection of Moulamein Road and Barham Road, approximately 10 km north of Barham.

Barham Sewer Pump Station upgrade

Council is upgrading the main sewer pump station in Barham to improve safety, reliability and long-term service for the community.

Langwell Park Playground Upgrade - Lawson Dr Moama

Council is upgrading the Langwell Park playground to extend the existing play area and introduce new equipment.

Moulamein Flood Mitigation Infrastructure Upgrades

Council is progressing with upgrades to Moulamein’s flood mitigation infrastructure. The works focus on strengthening the Moulamein Water Treatment Ring Levee, improving stormwater backflow prevention, and addressing weaknesses in some other areas of the levee system.

Kyalite Road Rehabilitation

Council is completing $5,697,485 worth of major construction works along Kyalite Road, aimed at improving road safety and usability.

Moama Town Entry Enhancement

Council has secured $1.08 million in grant funding to deliver placemaking and public realm upgrades to the southern entry of Moama, centred around Meninya Street near the Kerrabee Soundshell.

School Mural Project

Council recently completed our School Mural Project, which has seen the installation of vibrant new artwork in local schools.

Local Housing Strategy review

Council is producing a revised Local Housing Strategy. The review will ensure clear outcomes relating to regional growth, alignment of infrastructure requirements and endorsement of the strategy.
