Please Note -

The current MRC Local Housing Strategy is currently under review. This review impacts all aspects of the Strategy and there may be some delays to Planning Proposals as a result of this review.

It is highly recommended, prior to making any application for a Planning Proposal, to contact Council's Planning Staff on 1300 087 004 during business hours, to discuss your development and options available to you.

The highly anticipated new Local Housing Strategy is due for adoption in early 2026 and Murray River Council greatly appreciates your patience whilst we work on delivering a high quality, efficient product for the community.
