Authorised Officers
Our Authorised Officers are appointed by the Chief Executive Officer of Murray River Council under applicable legislation to undertake inspections, make enquiries and exercise enforcement functions on behalf of Council.
Identification cards are issued under, and for the purposes of, the legislation pursuant to which an officer is appointed or authorised, including the Local Government Act 1993 (NSW), Companion Animals Act 1998 (NSW), Protection of the Environment Operations Act 1997 (NSW), Public Health Act 2010 (NSW), Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 (NSW), Food Act 2003 (NSW), Graffiti Control Act 2008 (NSW), Swimming Pools Act 1992 (NSW), Public Spaces (Unattended Property) Act 2021 (NSW), Biosecurity Act 2015 (NSW), Water Act 2014 (NSW), Road Transport Act 2013 (NSW) and Roads Act 1993 (NSW).
