Notice is hereby given under Section 3.34(2)(c) and Clause 4 Schedule 1 of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 for a Planning Proposal (PP-2022-4007) to amend the Murray Local Environmental Plan 2011. The Proposal seeks to reclassify land from ‘Community’ to ‘Operational’ land, rezoning from RU1 Primary Production to IN1 General Industrial, and removal of Minimum Lot Size provisions at Lot 70 DP 1286642 (formally Lot 1 DP 793207) – Cobb Highway, Moama.

The Minister for Planning has not issued Murray River Council (Relevant Planning Authority) with plan making delegation in respect to this Planning Proposal under Section 3.36 of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979.

A Public Hearing will be held on Monday 27 March 2023 regarding the proposed reclassification of this site. The Hearing will be held from 1pm - 2pm in the Moama Recreation Reserve - Pavilion, 52 Perricoota Road, Moama. Please note, Council, at this stage do not require registrations to attend the Hearing.

If you would like opportunity to formally present at the Hearing, that option is also available to you. To present at the Hearing, please contact Council on 1300 087 004 during normal business hours, or email admin@murrayriver.nsw.gov.au and advise that you would like the opportunity to make a presentation at the Hearing. Note - Registration to present at the Hearing will be open until 4pm Wednesday 22^nd March 2023.

A copy of the Planning Proposal and all accompanying documents (including a Public Hearing Pack) can be viewed on Council’s website at www.murrayriver.nsw.gov.au, or inspected at Council’s Moama Office, 52 Perricoota Road, Moama, during normal office hours.

Please be advised that submissions made at this Hearing are not confidential and that either the issues raised in the submission, or the entire submission may be accessed by any member of the public including the applicant. A person who makes a submission may also need to disclose reportable political donations and gifts made to a Councillor or employee of Council, as required by the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979.
